The term ‘Ayezan’ is derived from the name of a legendary African Goddess.
She is the protector of markets, public places, doors, and barriers, with
a deep knowledge of the
intricacies of the world. The literal meaning of Ayezan is derived from
two words of the Fon language spoken in Africa, ‘Aye’ for land and ‘Zan’
for sacred. Ayezan therefore
means Sacred Land.
